Organiser: BRACE, 'Building Resilliance Against Climate Emergency'

During Great Big Green Week, BRACE is coordinating various events to celebrate the great work our community does to build resilience against the climate emergency. We will collaborate with local businesses and with other community groups to make this a fun, inspiring and accessible week for everyone.

Events during the week include:

St Myllin’s day Saturday 7th June, 10.30 - 1.30  

St Myllin’s Churchyard 

Come and say ‘hello’ at the BRACE stall. Games and prizes to win. 

 

Bioblitz Sunday 8th June, 10am onwards 

Dolydd Golbaith,

  

Walk with wildlife experts and help us survey our wildlife! Family welcome.  

Refreshments provided.

From Lab Coats to Handcuffs , Film Screening & Q&A with the film-maker Friday 13th June, 7.30pm

Old New Inn, Llanfyllin

Come and see the film 'From Lab Coats to Handcuffs' with a Q&A session with the film maker afterwards. When the UK government ignores mounting evidence for climate breakdown, a group of scientists turn to civil disobedience to warn the public themselves, risking arrest, a criminal record and their professional reputations. A window into the world of reluctant activism, Plan Z explores the power of protest when established routes of influence fail. *BRACE Big Day Out* Saturday 14th June, 10am - 3pm

Llanfyllin Institute & Gardd y Fro/ The Community Garden behind 

A day out for the whole family, with lots going on!

BYO picnic with refreshments and cakes available, live music, craft demos, opening of our new Gardd y Fro Pergola and an opportunity to learn about biodynamic gardening.

We will also be holding a Clothes Swap. Come and swap your clothes and refresh your wardrobe! Donate clothes between 10am - 11am, Swap between 11.30am - 3pm
