Event Description
The moth group are holding their first public evening event for 2026 at Llanymynech Golf Club.
Attendees can look at moths close-up, learn about their species and take photographs.
In association with Butterfly Conservation, supported by Local Places for Nature Fund and SeneddCymru/The Welsh Government.
The event is open to all age groups. Young children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Please do not bring pet animals.
This area of calcareous grassland is sympathetically managed by the golf club and always produces a diverse range of moths.
We will be setting up traps around 8pm and switching them on at dusk. The event will finish late into the night. Visitors may stay for as long as they wish.
Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for an evening, outdoor event. You will need to bring your own refreshments. A head torch/hand torch is essential. Insect repellant is recommended as a precaution. Please bring something to sit on if required.
