Gwenoliaid Duon Llanidloes Swifts
We are a volunteer group aiming to help support the conservation of swifts in our town of Llanidloes, Powys and the wider area.
Almost 60% of the swift population has vanished in the last 25 years, as a result the swift has become a 'red list' species which means it is in desperate need of our help. We need to create a more biodiverse habitat and provide nesting opportunities to help our local colonies and the swift population as a whole to not only survive but to thrive.
Our group aims to work with the local community to:
1. Raise awareness and promote interest in Swifts
2. Monitor and Record Swifts
3. Promote development of nesting opportunities
