Powys Green Guide

Welcome to the Powys Green Guide

Welcome to your personal guide to living a more earth-friendly life!

We think that you will be surprised at how many simple and cost-free steps you can take in your everyday life to be part of the change - and many people say that steps they have taken have improved their sense of wellbeing, reduced costs, or connected them with others in their locality. Some steps are easy, some are more appealing or affordable to some, whilst other steps are a better fit for others. It is a case of finding what works for you, your lifestyle, your family, and your pocket. Explore our pages and let us know what else you would like to see.

If you have used a carbon footprint calculator, you may already have some ideas about changes you can make, and maybe some you have made already. If you haven't, it's a good way to see which area of your life has the most impact - and maybe where you can make the most difference. Choose a calculator here.

How about joining a local action group or a local green event - they bring people together to make a difference in your area, and always appreciate new faces. Visit the Community Action and What's On pages - and get social!

How about some green-swapping? Our Sustainable Living Guide helps you to shop green and local where possible. It is filled with earth-friendly solutions for every part of your life.

If you are a business supplying green goods or services in Powys, we invite you to list yourself in our suppliers listing and sign up to our newsletter.
