Event Description

Join Radnorshire Wildlife Trust and The Woodland Trust for a cactus tree guard training event at Wilder Pentwyn Farm.

The day will involve a demonstration on how to install cactus tree guards and the different uses for them, before having a go at installing some cactus tree guards yourself. There is also an opportunity to get stuck in and help with some low-density tree planting, but this is completely optional.

If you're a landowner, community project, or individual looking for livestock/ deer proof tree protection, then come along and learn how to install cactus tree guards!

Or if you would just like to just come along and treat this as a tree planting volunteer day or a chance to learn new skills and get outside with others locally, then come along!

Tools will be provided, but please bring thick gardening gloves if you have them, dress for working outdoors and bring a packed lunch, and plenty of water. Hot drinks and cake/ biscuits will be provided!

Please be aware that here will be uneven ground and physical manual work throughout the day.
