Powys Action on the Climate Emergency (PACE) Hosted by PACE and Egin

Event Description

A community woodland is partly or completely controlled by the local community, through a community woodland group. These community woodlands are very diverse and embrace all woodland types and sizes. Community woodland groups are also diverse and there is no definition of how they should be run or managed.

Many communities across Powys already have a community woodland group, and in the workshop on Saturday we will hear from two groups – Llangattock and Knighton – who will show you their wide range of activities, it’s not all chopping wood!

Llais y Goedwig, which translates as ‘Voice of the Woodlands’, will talk about their work supporting community woodlands to form and flourish with their knowledge, contacts and enthusiasm. Although they are based in Powys, they support 100 community woodlands across the whole of Wales.

Co-hosted by PACE https://www.pacepowys.cymru/ and Egin https://egin.org.uk/
